At Bridges, our heartbeat, our purpose, and our greatest desire is to glorify God. Therefore, we seek His glory in our church, our community, and our world. Internally, we do this through worship and the ministry of His word. Externally, we accomplish this by fulfilling our vision of "Equipping World Changers." It is our desire to raise up, equip, and send God's people into their world as His representatives, bringing Him glory every day through their thoughts, words, and deeds.
At Bridges, we value and rely on the Word of God. Therefore, each Sunday we seek to bring a message that is Biblical, focused on the text of Scripture, relevant, and applicable to our daily lives. Ultimately, we want to preach the word in such a way that God is glorified and those who listen with open hearts are "equipped for every good work." (2 Tim 3:17)
Currently were are going through the book of Romans. Romans has been called "the greatest letter ever written." In this letter the Apostle Paul paints an amazing picture of God's righteousness revealed through the gospel of Jesus Christ. He answers the question how can a holy and righteous God be in relationship with a sinful people. Join us on this journey to discover not only how we can be in relationship with God but how being in relationship with God transforms our lives.
Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.

Carol and I came to Christ while university students. Because of the change in our own lives and seeing God use us in others’ lives, in 1974 Carol and I each joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. We worked with high schoolers. We married in 1979 and continued to serve together in youth and pastoral ministry, serving as an associate, assistant and interim pastor at Bible Fellowship in the 80’s. From 1989 – 1992 we served as missionaries in Yugoslavia. From 1993 to 1999 we were involved in U.S. leadership development, helping to start a seminary and training men and women headed overseas. From 1999 – 2018 we ministered globally through CrossRoads, a strategy designed to reach a community through the felt needs of its youth. In January of 2018 we turned the leadership of CrossRoads over to a group of proven nationals. In May of 2018 we joined
Faculty Commons reaches out to university faculty and graduate students. In today’s world faculty help to define what is true and right. They dis-proportionally influence the values, beliefs and behaviors of our country but they only make up .4% of our culture. Add graduate students to that number and it comes out to 1.4% of our population defining what is true and right. Whereas students come and go every four to six years, tenured professors often remain at a single university their entire career. The majority of graduate students enter the market place in leadership roles. Their potential to positively influence not only students, but the culture that flows downstream from the university is proven in how it has already done so negatively. Carol and I will be seeking to equip Christian faculty and graduate students to use their voice for Christ in their classroom and in their field. We will also work to reach non-Christian faculty and graduate students. Our focus will primarily be Central Florida. Carol and I have been so very grateful for the partnership we have had with Bridges. Through our working together over the years, millions of men and women, boys and girls, in 70+ countries have had the opportunity to give their lives to Christ, grow in their faith and work through their spheres of influence to bring others into God’s kingdom. THANK YOU!!
